Black Oak Wood Co.

Each carefully crafted piece features Black Oak Wood Co.’s signature design of black oak, created through the ancient Japanese art of Shou Sugi Ban – which originated in the 18th Century as a method to treat cedar cladding to render it weatherproof. This traditional practice has been adapted for modern living, combining Shou Sugi Ban with solid reclaimed wood and resin to create truly stunning, signature pieces for any home.

Each bespoke piece will tell your story, including individual touches and signature designs to ensure the furniture is unique to you. Products range from carefully crafted tables and cabinets, to bespoke carpentry projects, such as sauna design.

Bone Interiors

Located in the heart of the historic West Sussex town of Petworth, Bone Interiors offers a unique collection of both contemporary, classic and vintage furniture and accessories, sourced from across Britain and Europe. Ranging from a fragrant candle to an authentic Dutch dresser, the Bone Interiors collection has unique pieces for everyone, all laid out more as a home than a shop, so the customer gets a feel of it in situ.

Owner Sarah Gordon says that, “in this age of online shopping, I find people still want to wander around the shop, feel the fabrics, see the furniture up close.” She uses her years of experience, knowledge and passion for interior design to advise on colour schemes, room layouts and which pieces have good chemistry with one another. She is also happy to source a particular item of furniture, while out on one of her many buying trips.

Mungo & Maud opened its first store in the heart of London’s Belgravia on Elizabeth Street near Sloane Square in May 2005.
